End of November and the Weeping Willows still weep…. soon be time for new green shoots to appear.
A very different day today…. well the sun shone, which makes a change in our weather pattern of late. So a walk a little further from home seemed inviting. The Trent and Mersey Canal at Shardlow felt like as good a venue as any. With a little frost, long shadows and very dark water I was not disappointed. It did seem a little strange today, as this was the first time I had walked here since we lost Buster and I kept on looking to keep an eye on his exploring… it was one of his favourite places for sniffs!.

After the dark grey days of late, today seemed extra colourful and gave me a smile, and a smile on others who were also enjoying stretching their legs along the towpath…
It might seem strange to have traffic lights on a canal…. but water levels are still running high on the rivers after the floods, and recent heavy rains haven’t helped. Just a mile along the cut, the canal joins the River Trent and also provides access to the River Soar…. so the lights on RED are to inform skippers that the rivers are currently un-navigable.

I wonder what the weather will deliver tomorrow….
Nothing we can do to influence that…. but we can as always…..
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

Such beautiful captures of reflections. I am sorry to learn that your sweet Buster has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His spirit remains with you.
