Thoughtful Thursday… February’s First.

Time does fly…. it seems like yesterday we were celebrating New Year, and the day before that Christmas!…. just where does time vanish to and why so quickly.

So here we are the 1st of February already.  So what does February have instore for us.  Well, it is the shortest month of the year…. even though this year being a leap year, it has the luxury of 29 days.

But it could be a busy month. Whilst checking my calendar for a specific date, I was confronted with what must be one of the busiest months of the year for scheduling.

It starts with Groundhog Day…. then progresses to…..

The Lunar New Year

Mardi Gras

Super Bowl

Pancake Day (Officially Shrove Tuesday)

Ash Wednesday

Valentines Day

Presidents Day

Then the bonus day 29th February.

February, never an easy month to predict weather wise. Will it hang onto Winter or assist a smooth transition into Spring. Obviously it has been a conundrum taxing folks for many years….

  3. February comes as a relief on the Birthday front…… after what seems like a never ending list of birthdays in December and January, February only has one…… My wallet can breath a sigh of relief :-)

  4. We have two family birthdays to celebrate and a new grandchild due near the end of this month. We’re just hopeful he decides not to arrive on Feb. 29! A birthday every four years wouldn’t be fun for a child, although I think some older adults may think it’s a good idea! 😉
