Snowdrops eventually brought us a hint of the Spring to come… very welcome harbingers of the coming seasons floral treats.
February continued the trend begun in the Autumn, that continued through December, January and February…. wet (very,) grey, occasional gales and rather miserable. So the occasional sunny day had to be taken advantage of, not to be wasted.
This was one such rare day. The destination was Hopton Hall here in Derbyshire, and their display of Snowdrops…

.

The Lake and surrounds were also starting show signs of Spring, sparkling in the late afternoon sun…

The local resident Swans were also showing ‘Spring Like’ urges…

Snowdrops may be diminutive in size… but pack a powerful Spring punch.
Overall we will not be sad to see the back of February and we go forward in the hope that March will be significantly better on the weather front 🙂
No matter the month or the weather…. as always……
