Wild Garlic….
For a short while in our woodland there is a distinctive aroma in the air….It is Wild Garlic. For just a few short weeks the white ‘star’ like flower heads create a white carpet. Then as quickly as they appeared, they will disappear along with their aroma, leaving only the broad green leaves. With luck they will be back next April.
This Spring may well have not gone to natures more usual Spring Time-Table, but the Wild Garlic seems to one predictable Spring indicator.
