Saturday morning, after two glorious summer days, woke to milky grey skies and a forecast that promised rain later. So headed off to Calke Abbey not too far away in South Derbyshire., the aim to take advantage of some possible bright spells. It was the Walled Gardens that was my interest. I have always visited in each of the four seasons, each season very different… indeed each year the garden evolves in different ways as the climate dictates.
So come along for the trip, walk up past the House and through the Beech Woods, though the gate and step back in time.
I hope you enjoy….

At least one of the Scarecrows has been listening to the weather forecast she came prepared….

I guess I was lucky as the rain held off till later in the day.
Enjoy your weekend…. and of course, as always….
