A sunny afternoon…. it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as here in our small corner of middle England we have had a run of days of two halves. Mornings dismal (or worse) afternoons, by dramatic contrast, lovely and sunny.
Yesterday, the afternoon was sunny again. So after a morning at the desk, a walk along the Trent & Mersey Canal at the inland port of Shardlow was selected. Just the spot to get some fresh air into the lungs and exercise those lethargic limbs. Shardlow never disappoints, whilst never likely to be as busy as it was in the late 1800’s and 1900’s… there is always something happening, friendly boaters to talk to, and something to please the eye. Here are a few images from yesterdays walk.

Not a bad way to enjoy a sunny afternoon 🙂
Only downside is that the forecasters predict a turn for the worst in the days ahead.
Whatever your weather and wherever you are….always….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

A lovely way to spend your afternoon. Thank you for sharing these with us. How are you doing, David? I’m still sending you good thoughts and prayers.

Can I use the traditional response “taking each day as it comes”…. some days are easy others very difficult. I still haven’t formulated a focus as yet. What does help is people talking to me, I recognise that some find it hard to talk and that’s a shame ….. but very pleased to receive thoughts from far away. Thank you 🙂

I do understand that folks don’t always know what to say when someone is grieving. But I also know it helps to just be there and listen and share memories with the one who grieves. May that be what those around you do for you. And I will keep you in my prayers.

Just normal conversation is a real help.

Thank you…. i knew it would take time, but it is all a little foggy.I do understand that some find it hard to talk face to face… but talking is the best support to feeling more normal again. I hope that makes sense. Again thanks
