Fancy some window shopping ? There was a time when shop windows offered a pre-buying experience when you were shopping (or just browsing).
Time, security and fashion have all moved along… not always for the better.
Not that items above were for sale…. just a private residence that was expressing a little fun in a side window.

Window shopping used to be a fun thing to do in the city. Now it doesn’t even exist. Everyone buys stuff online. Except me because I’m a dinosaur. 😉

There are a lot of dinosaurs about. Even before closures the decline started with grates and bars for security… not sure initially they were really needed …. but it soon turned j=high streets into areas that one didn’t want to venture…. great shame, it has taken an element the fun out of shopping.
