Late summer and early autumn days can be next to perfect…. and many do appear even in late September.
After this weekends monsoons, I am not too sure just how many we will be blessed with this year… after all its has been a rather disappointing season.
Cley next the Sea Windmill above, is an image from a summer evening a few years ago , when late summer did seem to go on and on and on 🙂
Enjoy the weather, whatever we are given….. and as always….

I’m doubtful, they don’t have quite the same esthetic

Windmills are one of my favorite sights. I may have inherited this affinity from my mom, who always commented on windmills when we saw them while traveling; and she had several photos and drawings of windmills happily displayed on the walls of our home. These days I actually live in a town that boasts a Windmill Museum.
To Beth’s point, I do not see the new ‘alternative energy’ wind machines as ‘windmills.’ Windmills like the two-in-one of your photo here are more homey, inspirational even. Reminiscent of simpler times, and of course, Cervantes. 🙂
Also, speaking of Cley… have you ever checked out ‘The Fab Four of Cley’ at fabfourblog.com?
