Hopping, one foot to the other

The Lake is frozen, and this Black Headed Gull has found a (perhaps) warmer spot to stand….  but it did demand hopping from one foot to the other.  Nor was he in any hurry to move, fluffed up feathers and conserving energy on a cold day.
