It is only two days ago, that I was ‘complaining’ to Lindsay, that the Crocus and much else in the winter garden, looked as though they were going to be yet another disappointment. The stems of the few Crocus that had deemed it time to break cover, were thin and floppy. The few leaves looked as if they were limp and reluctant to stand.
That was two days ago. Since then the sun has shone, temperature have risen to double figures….. and with that seasonal boost the Crocus have miraculously and suddenly flourished…. little miracles.
The Winter Jasmine that has been in flower since early December is now having a last flourish to welcome Spring…

The Christmas Roses (Hellebore) were late to flower but now provides shade for the last of our Snowdrops….

So here we are nearly at the end of February, still hoping that Spring will arrive very soon…. but at least, at last, some very promising signs
In hope and as always….

We’re having to constantly rethink what flowers when, and for how long!
