
A little late….. or you might say, at long last.
I have always been puzzled by the name of these little bulbs, ” Glory of the Snow “.
Definitely no snow this season, or the last. In fact I cannot remember them ever flowering in the snow or even acting as heralds of incoming snow.
I am tempted to say ‘who cares’. Whatever their name they are mini Stars to delight.

I wonder if the weather is different in their region of origin, where there still is snow?

Most of our weather seems to originate in the warm mid Atlantic….with of course, the occasional move north by the jet stream when ice cold blast come down from the north. But since October we have had rain, record levels at times…misserable grey days. The plus was that whilst cold we had no frosts of consequence and no snow. Now April has just been fantastic..they tell us that we.will have.record highs this week. But the plantsctime clicks have been all over the place… strange, very
