May has only just begun, but a great deal has happened in gardens and woods. Spring has past its first flush and is moving into its next stage leading us on into early summer.
The gentle greens of the Hosta always mark this change in the garden (and so far no slugs or snails chomping on their leaves)… Green of course is at its most vibrant…
Else where the more dominant colours are arriving on a daily basis.
Geum are flourishing, Aquilegia, Weigela and the lovely Blue Ceanothus… and add the first Red Roses..

The Woods now cast their dark shadows, bad news for the Bluebells that we will have to say goodbye to… till next year..

Lets enjoy this journey through spring as it morphs into early summer…. a time of quick change and vibrant colours.
Enjoy… but also always….

Not so sunny and warm here. We’ve had tons of rain and very cool temps and one doozy of a terrible storm which did a lot of damage in our area of our state, knocking down trees, damaging homes, and more. Thousands of people lost power for several days. We were lucky and kept ours and had no damage, thankfully.
