It must be Summer….

You know summer has arrived when the Day Lilies begin to appear….. Day Lilly is the very appropriate name.  They burst into flower as the sun rises and wilt at days end. For a few short weeks others begin to appear, then all vanish till next summer.

The full herbaceous season has yet to hit us, but we do have some colourful corners to add to the summer feel…..

I do hope summer does live up to our expectations, after all its Mid-Summers Day tomorrow….  I hope the best is yet to come.

Of course we should all try to….

    1. Spring started like winter..wet but no frosts. Spring started late but once it got going, it’s been dry and hot. But the plant cycle has been unpredictable… early flowering plants and bulbs late, whilst the usual late ones early. Never known a spring like it. But we now merge into summer… and a mini heatwave
