An Eyesore…or necessary Evil
I still haven’t made up my mind. A blight on the Countryside or a vital part of the plan to secure our energy future.
At this location, here in Derbyshire, I can even see some, dare I say beauty, in the structures. Also if you look closely you will see a stubby structure… that was once a old style windmill.
But on my travels I have seen ‘large windfarms’ snaking across the countryside, cannot help finding them intrusive and disturbing. Even worse in my view, acre after acre of farmland covered with solar panels…. and there is concern for our farmed food security!?
Yet we have thousands of buildings, factory, stores and homes, including my own, that could and maybe should have solar panels on their roofs.
As for our politicians, well they seem to blow hot and cold… and some in denial, that we need to address climate change.
Just a thought for this Friday….
As always….

I do feel we need to use alternate energy to save the planet and try to find ways to not lose our farms, both and these do look nice in this picture. we have to acknowledge climate change if we want to have a planet for our children and grandchildren.

Agreed.. I just feel that right now
is no masterplan for managing the transition of energy supply. Knowing how long it takes to build/change infrastructure here in the UK the switch cannot just be flicked. Then of course its much more than just energy
