Stanton Moor is my go to place. It not far away (30minute drive). It is above the surrounding countryside but not in the Peak District proper. It is where Gritstone, sandstone and limestone meet.. which means the ground is usually dry even in the worst of weathers. So no matter the season it is a location guaranteed to please with great views all around. Plus some megalithic stones 🙂
