We are well past the mid-point of April. I have said it before, but yet another reminder of how fast time vanishes into history.
April of course, as the rhyme goes… April Showers bring forth May Flowers…. Well we certainly enjoyed a few showers, we also had a carry-forward of March Winds.
What was more of a surprise was the early morning Frosts. The surprise being that over the traditional Winter months we only had one morning of frost. In this little corner of the world, we have had five April mornings of frost… nothing deep or severe, so thankfully little damage to the early Spring Blooms that have graced our early Spring.
Let us wait and see what else April has in-store for us to enjoy… whilst it paves the way for May’s flowers.
Whatever treats are ahead lets just enjoy the moment…and also…
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
21st April

April always brings a rush of new growth, but I do think this year has been much more colourfull and lush.

our Camelia has been here for some 20 years. Never produced more than 8 blooms…. this year it was covered with about 40 blooms. Mostly pure white, a few pink/red tinged and the odd one all red. I hope it is a display to be repeated next spring 🤞
