Dawn and sun catching the Lavender as its starts to flower.
Another day of temperatures that are breaking records across the UK. 33c and rising may not be exceptional for those in other climates, but for us, together with high humidity, it is having an effect on our daily lives.
I am lucky in not having to venture far. It is times like this that the garden becomes a saviour… somewhere just to potter, wander aimlessly and forget the chores…. but it is the shade that beckons….and yep, I am feeling lazy.
So here is a virtual tour of some of the plants that are enjoying the summer sun. The spring flowers gone and the summer friends now breaking out into colour and new growth. I should add that this is not a gardeners garden but my garden, what grows grows, even if some plants have a dubious history… as for labels forget and untidy areas welcomed :-).

Keep cool and today as always….

A garden is for pleasure, in whatever form, isn’t it? I have to admit, I struggle with 30+. Contrarily we’ve had a couple of welcome cooler days but it’s set to soar again as yours subsides xx

Predicted 35 at 3pm tomorrow. The worst prediction is that tonight it will not drop below 20c…but its humidity that makes it worse

Well, my friend, you have an exquisite garden there to enjoy. Hoping you find some respite from the heat. I see from weather reports, it’s coming my way soon too. I loved seeing your lavender plant; mine is blooming profusely and its lovely scent brings a calming manner to me. May yours do the same for you. 🙂
