Millstones, Padley Gorge, Derbyshire
In the odd idle moment I often flick back the calendar in the files to similar times a few years ago. In this case back to 2014, it was a November very different from this year. The trees were bare, whilst not frosty still very cold and damp.
This image came up (in colour) so I though I would try reworking it, reducing the colour saturation to more accurately match the feel of that rather dull November day.
I think it works alright….Even though we have enjoyed a wonderful late summer and autumn, for which we should be very grateful, it probably more accurately reflects todays mood on another dull November day.
