Spring started early this year and is moving at some pace. We have yet to witness the mass of new growth in the garden that will give us the mass of summer flowers, but as each day passes another new arrival returns to grace the garden. Like many other shrubs, our Camellia has enjoyed the lack of frosts and is now in full bloom. Most Camellia are pinkie red, so we are rather proud that ours is just a little different…..White petals that are streaked with the occasional flash of red. The downside is that they do not like rain, if the petals get splashed that splash turns brown….so it is case of enjoy whilst one can.
