Jenkin Chapel
The simple rustic Alter and Bible in this tiny Chapel high on the Moors that straddle the Derbyshire/Cheshire Border, roughly between Buxton to the East and Macclesfield the the West.. A lonely and sometimes wild location between several very small hamlets.
The Chapel was built in 1733… from local materials and entirely from funds raised within this tiny farming community.
Once established it served not only the needs of the community, but also those traveling along the ‘Salters Road’ that passes close by the Chapel
This Sunday and everyday….
