Waiting for the Tide to Turn…..

0005

Skippool Creek, Wyre Estuary, Lancashire Coast

I guess we are all waiting for the tide of the pandemic to turn.  The only difference is that with the tides of the sea, there is a chance for a fresh start…… twice each day.  Our wait, for the tide of the CV19 virus  to turn, is going to be a while longer.

High and Dry……..

On-the-Marsh

High and Dry…. on the Marsh

Out of the reach of high tides…..  I also guess its been there for some time as the salt marsh reeds are growing tall  around it, the boat slowly sinking lower and starting to hide.  It was also a frosty morning when we made our way across the marshes….. cold enough for the water trapped in the boat to have frozen.  Looks lonely, maybe its been forgotten.

Spring Tides Ease for Another Month

A FULL TIDE AT SKIPPOOL CREEK

A Spring Tide at Skippool Creek, River Wyre, Lancashire

Another Full Moon phase is passing and with it another cycle of Spring tides eases.  After all the high winds and heavy rains, it will come as some relief to those arround our coast who feel threatened by rising water levels.

…….. Up the Creek

SKIPPOOL-0037gg

Dawn…. the high spring tide creeps soundlessly, over the marshes and up each narrow creek here at Skippool Creek on the River Wyre Estuary, Lancashire.

Peaceful…and if I recall correctly, only the call of the Curlew echoing across the water.
