Stir Up Sunday……
Today 29th October is the date for this traditional family event in 2023.
It is the day when the Family Christmas Puddings are mixed, with members of the family taking turns to stir the final mix …. and of course making a wish.
Sadly, not a family custom that is as well celebrated with the modern generation. Store bought Christmas Puddings are so much easier. I guess like much else these days cooking is seen more as a chore than an event.
If you are Stirring Up this Sunday…. please give it an extra stir for me…. and keep the tradition alive….
