Red Sky in the Morning…..

Well you know the rest…and it was not really a surprise.  Coupled with the Met Office forecast and the weather warnings on Breakfast TV we expected the worst. Even those Blackbirds on the roof tops look pensive.

But some times we need to be surprised and this Monday morning we were .

Wrapped up with scarves, hat, fleece and gloves we headed out for our morning walk round the woods.  As the sky cleared and the sun broke thru, the temperature rose, so off came the hat, gloves and scarf.  What a great morning…a morning when the smell of the woods was as good as the views

So I guess the old fable was wrong, which I suppose came as no surprise to many….but so was the Met Office.  Sometime it pays not to take these forecasts on face value.

Temperatures hovering round 6c, blue skies and a warm sun….hints of Spring.

Best not to be too complacent as snow forecast for Tonight and tomorrow.
