Lea Rhododendron Gardens, Lea Holloway, Derbyshire
Daffs and Tulips have faded away, and when those colourful displays are replaced by Rhododendron and Azaleas, you really do know that Spring is moving along at a pace and Summer will soon be knocking on the floral door.

So yesterday, taking advantage of a sunny afternoon we headed off to Lea Gardens and the spectacular display of multi-colour blooms. The gardens are in a woodland setting with a maze of pathways to explore… hard to imagine that this rich and abundant floral display was once a stone quarry.
So lets take a short wander, savour the scents and absorb the intense colours as we go, pause if you wish on one of the many benches, listen to the bird song and just enjoy…

And when your senses have had their fill you can always drop into the Café, take in the view over the gardens and enjoy a well earnt cuppa and a cake… though the cake didn’t last long 🙂

Wherever you are…. always….
