Autumn in Padley Gorge
There has been some rain over the past few weeks, so I guess Padley Gorge will be looking its best. Whist it looks like a rather wild stretch of water, this is Burbage Brook, just one of many minor tributaries that feed Derbyshires River Derwent.
We are keeping our fingers crossed. This time last November it was the start of severe flooding down the Derwent Valley. Waters receded a little prior to Christmas, then returned with a vengeance in January and February….. as I say fingers crossed – we don’t want a rerun.
