Friday 13th… a day of possible misfortunes.
Tradition says, that when the 13th day of the month falls on a Friday misfortune may befall you. So best to be careful….. but that same tradition also suggests, that if you manage to get beyond midday without incidence, then you will have escaped the threat.
So maybe it would be wise to take extra care this morning.
(The above wreck has been a landmark on this part of the coast for some time. As I understand it, the grounding of the Trawler was neither an act of violent storm or by deliberate intent. I am told that some years ago, when fishing was in decline, the owner moored the Trawler in the bay whilst seeking a buyer. none were forthcoming and the vessel remained at anchor, to all intents abandoned. In time it came adrift and ended up on the shore. The location is at Corpach, in the narrows between Loch’s Ell and Linnhe.)
