Big Wood, Allestree…
Monday was a very different day….Overnight rain had washed away Sundays snow and this morning the sun has decided to come out to play.
Temperatures have reached a dizzy 10c and what a difference it made, not all of it for the good….underfoot it is now muddy, a case of one step forward and two back.
That sun has also revealed the first of this years wild Snowdrops in a corner of the woods, so spring must be on the way…
Rather a nice day to be out and about, just to potter about in the warming sunshine…
Down by the Lake there is still some Ice remaining just to remind us that whilst Spring is on the way Winter may well have a sting in its tail..
