Big Wood, Allestree

I suppose it is very fitting that on the very day of the Autumnal Equinox that the low morning sun actually has some warm autumn colour to its glow….add to that the first day on which you might just say that autumn colour are now coming to the woods….albeit mainly bracken that has turned.

The trees, as you see, are still  rich in green and growth.

All is peaceful down by the Lake and a pause in the warming morning is worth every moment….reminding us that colder days are bound to arrive soon.
