A Dank Day…
Dank is a Scottish phrase my mother always used to describe days like today. Dark, damp and miserable….one of those days where the damp seems to creep into your very bones.
So dank today that I didn’t bother slinging the camera over my shoulder. So here is a shot with my not so smart, smart phone. Just couldn’t resist the shade and reflections on the lake from the overhanging Beech tree.

Dank’s used also in Yorkshire. It’s in Yorkshire I learned this word from my friend. She was cremated yesterday and I lit a small candle during the service. From 3 tot 5. I read the poem to myself: Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_Not_Stand_at_My_Grave_and_Weep I believe she’s all that, and more. 😉
