Big Wood, Allestree, Derbyshire
Sunday gave us a treat in the form of some sunshine through the woods. Brief as it was, it was still cheering to see the warm spring light and being low casting its long shadows over what is still a winters carpet. The other encouraging sign is that green shoots of Bluebells are breaking free and will soon produce their spring bells of blue.
Yep….there was some Blue in the sky, though you had to look very carefully to see the buds of the Sycamore…certainly swelling but only just a little.
Just a little encouragement in what has been a depressing start to Spring

I have a feeling we’ll be going straight to summer this year! Nice to have a few brief spells of sunshine along the way 🙂

You may well be right…though I am told Spring will be on Wednesday or maybe Thursday this week….then its back to winter 🙂
