Time to Just Sit and Stare…
After the previous weekends storms this week has produced a succession of what I call Bonus Days….a big bonus now that we are past the midway point of October. It has also seen the colours of autumn to become more pronounced though the greens have not yet given up the fight for life.
Those bonus days also continued into the weekend…temperatures starting at 4c but soon rising to 18c with blue skies and not a whiff of a breeze encouraged lots of folk out for a countryside walk…or maybe just to sit and stare.Β So with no excuses for taking you on yet another woodland walk.. here we go… enjoy, we did.

A great weekend but I guess (and hope) that the best of autumn is still to come.

I am fearful autumn is passing us by! We had snow flurries the other morning and temperatures have dipped down near freezing. Our leaves aren’t turning colorful like they usually do either, just browning, drying up, and falling off the trees. π¦

I guess that is our opinion. Leaves are slowly turning yellow but is because they are so dry and falling to the ground in any breeze. Apart from that most trees are still green. Warm during the day 19c today but cold at night though no frost as yet…. Forecast is that this weekend we will get a dramatic downturn. π€
