The River Derwent at Darley, Derbyshire
Only two days ago we were heading for the riverside to find some cool spots. Today it is a case of keep moving, far to chilly and wet to stand and stare. Again it isn’t what you would call raining. We really could do with some proper rain, at the moment it is just a constant drizzle. Drizzle it may be but it still makes you wet.
So it is hardly surprising that the Park is rather quiet. Perhaps that is a good thing….. since the lockdown measures had been relaxed ‘a little’, and due to the stupid actions of some in political circles that should have known better, the numbers of folk out and about had started to increase dramatically. No sense of Social Distancing and no discipline. …. it had suddenly become far from comfortable being out. So today all was calm.
There is some summer colour appearing in one dark corner of the garden. Even the rain and dark clouds haven’t put off the first of our Hypericum from starting to flower.
So even on a wet day….
