Allestree Lake, Derbyshire
6.20am Mid Summers Eve. The early morning sun shone with a vigour we haven’t seen for days. The Sky was blue, no vapour trails and just the occasional clouds. So we headed off for a quick pre breakfast walk round the Lake. Apart from the bird song all was quiet. One other dog walker and three fishermen lakeside. Just great to be out and about…

We have been getting used to the lockdown restrictions and the easing measures, but this morning it was just shear bliss. There was no need to keep that wary eye open for other people, take avoiding action to maintain social distancing, just able to walk freely without any concern. I mentioned the bird song… by their tone and volume, I think they were agreeing with me and enjoying the bright start to their day.

As we headed home for Coffee and Breakfast the clouds began to bubble up. Maybe I have had the best of the day..

Not sure what the weather plans to do for the rest of the day, as always we can only wait and see. 🙂

We have been promised a couple of days with soothing cool rains? And it must be coming from somewhere?

We are always generous…. If those who are supposed to know about these matters are correct, we have another mini heatwave from Sunday for a few days…. I will see if we can spare you a bit 😊👍

Have to try to get it on Catch Up. It was rather dark and cloudy here o sunrise of any merit 🙂
