The Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness….

Mists!…well this morning it was Fog, thick and damp and clinging.  It was lunch time before the breeze got up and started to gently ease the fog into a mist.  Trees like the venerable Oak starting to show off their sturdy skeletons.

Along the old carriageway, always shadowed in darkness, did seem this morning, to stand out more.  The Golden Beech leaves seem to generate light and defining the old track.

Late afternoon and rain arrives……  this day last year was the start of major floods.  Forecast looks much kinder for the week ahead, but many folk are still fearful of a repeat performance.  Lets hope not.

    1. I had to take a pic. I am so familiar with this old carriageway being dark (and usually damp) all year round….so it just seemed so bright yesterday morning. Golden reflectors of light. Glad you like it. 🙂
