Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick, Cumbria
I posted this page at 5.02am GMT. Officially that is the time of the Winter Solstice. Hard to believe, but from this point onwards, the days will start to get longer and the nights shorter Well that’s the truth of the matter. I guess many folk like me, still think that we have a good deal of winter to come….after all winter has only just begun.
Castlerigg Megalithic Stone Circle, long suggested as being a ‘time clock‘ for the seasons….. in normal times, like many other of our ancient stone circles, they would be locations for celebrations of the Solstice.

Not sadly taken this year……. the weather and CV19n had other ideas. But the thought was there 🙂

Glad it pleased….. The challenge is a good one. I do try to give a happy vision for each day, even on those days when it is far from bright 🙂
