Early morning and a frozen Allestree Lake, Derbyshire
Give the weather forecaster credit….. It did get warmer this morning. Well, -5c rising to a dizzy -2c is I guess warmer. A cutting cold wind did make it feel much worse.
The Lake was still frozen with a white topping….magic even on a dull day..
The signs that the temperature was slowly rising, was evident by the time we headed for home, our mornings walk completed. The lake was still frozen, had lost that white look, now starting to looking dark and dangerous.
No matter the weather…….
