Stoer Head Lighthouse, Assynt, West Coast of Scotland
We have certainly ‘enjoyed’ some very bad weather….. Gales, Rains and in places Snow. It is hoped that Monday, the storms will have passed, the weather will be calm over the UK. Indeed it has become calm here in the Midlands, not sure it will have passed completely on the West Coast of Scotland.
Stoer Head above is exposed to the worst of the elements….. but after a summer storm, as on the above occasion, calm can return quickly.
I love this remote location. Steep cliffs, a sea view to the Outer Islands and the wild Atlantic, behind you the mountain peaks that make up the Assynt Range… wild even when all else is quiet. A very favourite wild location.
Whatever the weather and wherever you are this Moody Monday….

Gorgeous, David! I so long for Scotland…some days I feel I will never be able to go outside my little bubble again.

I try to be ever optimistic, but at times our bubble just isn’t big enough and needs popping 😃

The location is wild and dramatic but also just a small gem in a bigger landscape jewel box of mountains, moors and coast. 🙂
