June 1st lived up to its promise….

_DOI4985_00003qqq

A real summers morning.  Blue skies and sunshine….. 5 days now and each day gets hotter.

May, was the month of Blue…. the Bluebells dominated but now faded away.  June is the month of White and Green that are the dominant colour in our countryside right now.

Hawthorn with its sweet scent aroma graced the hedgerows and Cow Parsley surrounding the Lake.  Oak have full heads of new bright green leaf, even the Ash has at long last come back to life, whilst the humble Sycamore looks sprightly.  Red Campion and Yellow Buttercups are now starting to fill the meadows.

But the best part of the day was the early morning walk, with Buster, round the Lake…. both relaxing and refreshing…. a great start to any day.

If this is Summer…..  enjoy and…..

Please Remember ….
