We are very fortunate to have several Public Parks near to us. Open spaces where you can wander at will, freedom to make your own pathway through the trees, by the rivers and round the lakes.
This past 18 months they really have been a blessing during the ongoing Covid situation. In lockdown they were a lifeline for so many, a place for fresh air and somewhere to exercise.
Whilst Covid is still with us, it has been possible to resume some sort of normal life. The Parks have been ideal places to renew social contact at a safe distance. A much more relaxed approach to life out and about has returned.
There is still space to be alone but also space for the renewal of activities that had been put on hold.
Most of us just enjoy the chance meeting, exchange of greeting or maybe a brief chat…
Others are more energetic. I do admire the group of young mums (the Ladies that Push I call them). They jog along with their babies and pushchairs, pause every so often for group lead exercise routines, then its off again. Not a bad way to socialise and exercise..
Buster and I may admire their energy but prefer a more relaxed walk. An ever changing scene, and even if the weather at times isn’t the best always enjoyable….and of course as the seasons change it just adds another dimension to the experience.
All this on our own doorstep….. lucky, you bet we are.
But the Covid situation is still with us all. Restrictions have been eased, but we should not let our own guard down for quite some time yet. It remains important to….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

and we do appreciate our good fortune. Made life this past 18 months, for someone used to travelling freely, very tolerable. Yep, fortunate indeed 🙂
