Summer must be over…. The Local Cricket Club has ‘parked’ its Sight Screens for the winter and its Club House all secured.
But walking round the rest of Darley Park this morning, it looked much more like summer than autumn. That said, it did feel just a touch cooler despite the bright sunshine. After the past few days of rather wet and awful weather, this was in modern parlance – a welcome ‘Window’ in the current weather cycle..
Despite the recent days of sever wet weather, the garden seems to have withstood the battering rather well. The Rudbeckia still stand tall, the Dahlia droop, Geraniums brighten a corner, greenery is lush and surprise surprise one of our Clematis is having a ‘third coming’ .
It cannot be left for too long before we start to winterise the garden. We have the Spring Bulbs ready for planting…… but whilst there is still a chance of more ‘windows’ like today, we will wait.
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
