Shardlow, Trent and Mersey Canal, Derbyshire
Early morning sun on the Trent and Mersey Canal at Shardlow. But the sun did little to ease the cold….it was the coldest morning so far this winter. Till now, November has been a benign month. As for autumn, well if you blinked over the past week you would have missed it.
Now the Met Forecasters tell us we have sever storms heading our way, so this truly could be the “calm before the storm”.
So this was a day to enjoy a winter walk along part of this historic canal..
The sun never did warm up the day but we were not complaining …. just great to be out
Whatever your weather wherever you are….

Unfortunately you seem to be adressing the weather? Yes, there will be a new storm a coming, but – it is called
‘the Omikron’! And it will arrive in strength just at the very same time as Christmas! Stay safe!!!

At least this time our UK Government is taking it more seriously…… it is though a shame they haven’t been taking recent worrying trends in the current virus. as seriously. Over 40,000 new infections each day for two weeks and yesterday it had reached a new high of 50,000 (but don’t worry deaths have only averaged 125 per day) Statistics just wash over our heads now.
P.S. Remember I am British so have an in built programme to comment about the weather 🙂 🙂
