At 15.59 today (that is UK time) the sun crosses an invisible line and starts it slow ascent back towards the north. Tonight will be the longest night of darkness.
The Solstice is just one of natures seasonal climate events. With the World facing major environmental challenges, I thought the above image would serve to remind us all of our fragility and diminutive size in the wider universe.

Fragile, indeed! We seem to have reached a critical point? And I’m afraid that a couple of millions more or less
would not solve our problem? Neither wil space travel!

Future decisions will not be yours or mine to make…. just hope the younger ones do find a solution and make better choices than our generations have.

Is it the step from darkness into light ? Or just that we have the strength to once again take the step ?

Increasing amounts of light can help us take those steps forward. Stepping forward we must, to regain some normality in these Covid times
