A Derbyshire Windfarm
Give just about anything time, and perceptions change. Not so long ago the suggestion that wind turbines were to be erected in the open countryside, didn’t just raise eyebrows, but instigate much anger and protest.
Whilst there are still people who find windfarms distasteful – blots on the countryside, the popular trend now seems to bow to the inevitable need for Green Energy.
Love them or hate them…. I guess they are here to stay….. until of course something better is discovered.
(Progress is perpetual… look closer and you can see a stump of an old windmill)
We all have our own thoughts and thankfully still able to be free to express them.
But we do all still have something else we can share… which is to…..
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

Can you imagine what your beautiful countryside will look like in 50 years?
Firstly- due to noise, nobody will wish to live there, Next – most of your shops and other facilities will disappear
due to lack of people, and then – even more wind turbines! You will not be around any more but perhaps been instrumental in ‘opening the door’. AS you point out: There us no turning back!

Well, here in Norway the reindeer-owners went to court, won the case, and the Energy firms will have to remove al wind turbins from a certain area!
So – it’s possible but hard going!

There is a great deal of resistance as to where they can be built here too. At sea people want their blue view undisturbed, and inland is the same. But what are the choices? I am chosing the cleaner results. Solar power is also debated, as the cells are placed on fertile soil here in the south of Sweden. We have brought this upon ourselves, and we will have to live with it.

My question is since those wind turbines won’t last forever, what will be done with the broken and non-functional, worn out ones?

Storms this winter have also caused issues.
