Summer Solstice…….

Castlerigg Megalithic Stone Circle, Keswick, Cumbria

4.43am (UK time) it is sunrise Summer Solstice 2022. The Solstice is celebrated by many at various locations, not just here in the UK, but around the world.

At Castlerigg, you can find this stone circle dating back to about 3300bc. Sometimes known as a Druids Circle. This morning, Castlerigg and other stone circles are special places, where not just Druids, but many folk will meet to celebrate the Summer Solstice…… a celebration that has occurred, it would seem, since time began.

A sunny sunrise would be a bonus 🌞🌞
