Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford
22nd July, Schools take a break for the summer and the summer holidays begin. It will be interesting to see just how this season of 2022 works out for historic locations like Oxford.
We need no reminder that 2020 and its Covid trauma hit the Tourist industry hard. 2021 was a little better. Visitor numbers were boosted by some overseas visitors returning…. but in total nowhere near normal high season numbers.
Covid has not gone away, we just seem to be ignoring the issue, ‘living with it’ is the much used phrase.
No doubt, frustration, itchy feet and need for broader horizons will win out. But it will still be interesting to see just how well those Tourist Hotspots…like Oxford prosper this season.
Staycation or venturing further afield this summer……as always….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

I hope and wish summeer vacation to be fine in these situations. In here covid-19 rising up again… In the past, I stayed in Oxford, there was a friend in the university and during weekends we went to her, from Bournemouth to Oxford. The train travel was the best for me… I remember now… Thank you dear David, have a nice day and weekend, Love, nia

Just have to take care of ourselves… and hope that we avoid the unreasonable folk. Thankfully most folk seem to be sensible…. but big gatherings no way.
