Midday and the August sun is now low enough on its orbit to backlight parts of the garden.
The low sun also shows that Spiders are being busy as on the Acanthus
Out on the meadows hay is being gathered in….. with the hot dry weather, the hay harvest is not as productive as normal.
Perhaps better news….. can be found in the hedgerow, the Hawthorn appear to be bearing a bumper crop of its Red Berries…
Folklore suggests that if we have a bumper crop of Berries, we will have a severe winter. We wait to see.
Seasons and the year move along, and we can do little to influence the seasonal cycle…. but as always try to…..
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

Beautiful light, David – even if I hate summer will soon be over…and the darkness will rule. Your images cheer me up!

Thank you….. but as we know there is no escaping the dark winter days. So need to make the most of Autumn, which I guess will arrive early this year

Hard to believe the summer is about over. Here in Northern California our most beautiful weather is in September and October, but we can’t escape the cold of winter that will be here soon enough.
