Love this, as I have said before, I never saw Whitby abbey…

As you know I have been lucky to visit many Abbey ruins in the UK. Each has its own individual character but Whitby, because of its high cliff top location, always seems more evocative than others. If I remember my history correctly the founder of Whitby Abbey, then moved on to found others across Yorkshire. It all started here. Despite many visits, I have still not managed to capture the iconic cliff top/abbey/seascape view. May be one day. 🙂
