Beech trees, with their tall straight trunks that reach high in our woods, are one of my very favourite trees. … and in autumn they can be so magnificent.
But not all Beech enjoy that opportunity to show off….. even so, this obviously self-seeded Beech still does it best to show us its charms, and to admire itself in the waters of the Lake.

I love beech trees too and am fortunate to have quite a few in my garden along with two beech hedges, but this tree is extra fabulous.

Weight, gravity, and its precarious location may mean it life will not match its bigger friends.
