Location: The end of the day on the Nature Reserve at Hesteyri, Jokulfiroir, Isafjordur, Iceland
( I have only ever visited this remote Reserve once. A whole day in late September, a day when the very few folk, who had summer chalets, together with the Nature Reserve Warden, were preparing to leave before winter and the ice arrived. A really magical but remote place and a significant marker of the seasons…. and a marker in my memory)

A friend was just telling us about her trip to Iceland the other day. She loved it there and especially was awed by the Northern Lights.
