2nd Day of May….. not very Spring like

There maybe new leaves on the trees, but it is far from Spring like on this the 2nd day of May.

Apart from grey skies there is still also a very cold chill in the air.

It hasn’t deterred the Wild Garlic in the shade under the ever thickening woodland canopy…. 

there is also the magical aroma from the Allium ursinum, known as wild garlic, ramsons, cowleekes, cows’s leek, cowleek, buckrams, broad-leaved garlic, wood garlic, bear leek. Definitely a woodland aroma that says Spring.

With luck we can all soon enjoy the warmth and colour of Spring….. and as always….
